Who We Are

About Us

Our Mission

Triangle Racing is the racing team of Purdue's Triangle Fraternity chapter. We give our members a hands-on outlet for everything the classroom can't teach: designing under real constraints, building with their own hands, and competing when it counts. Since 1958 we have built and raced a kart in the Purdue Grand Prix, "The Greatest Spectacle in College Racing," and we treat every season like a professional motorsports program.

One Team, Every Role

Triangle Racing runs like a real racing organization. We are one team made up of the roles every race team needs: a driver behind the wheel, a race engineer dialing in setup, a crew chief calling the shots, and mechanics keeping the kart alive. No single role wins a race on its own.

A Tradition Since 1958

The Purdue Grand Prix has been a campus tradition for over six decades, and Triangle Racing has been part of it from the early years. Every kart we bring to the track is designed, built, and tuned entirely by our members, continuing a tradition passed down class after class within the chapter.

What Members Gain

Beyond the race itself, members leave with problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills that transfer directly to engineering careers. It is the kind of experience that comes from applying classroom theory under real deadlines, with a real machine, in front of a real crowd.
