Kart #7 finished 7th. The team qualified 14th for the race, although an engine problem delayed Jared's entry before the green flag. An excellent pit crew effort fired Jared up and sent him back out in under a minute, but he was now in dead last, about a lap behind the field. With a newfound sense of urgency and open track ahead, Jared began a comeback that saw him overtake 25 positions and finish just two spots shy of a top 5.
